The difference between narcissism and selfishness

The difference between narcissism and selfishness: Selfishness and narcissism  have become common in our society. Social attitudes have deteriorated to such an extent that they go anywhere for any purpose. First of all, everyone is lost in his own caste and does not want to speak directly. In any case, even if a matter has to be settled, the parties seek to find their own purpose and meaning. In our case, this attitude has also affected the values and at the same time domestic, business and social life is becoming confused. Human society is based on mutual sympathy, assistance and kindness in human needs. One aspect of human morality is gentleness, kindness and love. That is, in every matter one should do kindness instead of selfishness and speak kindly and sweetly to others beyond the love of one's self. Self-love is also called selfishness and people think it is a negation of loving others. It is generally said and understood that to love another is love, but to love oneself is selfish. Even psychologists like Freud have called self-love narcissism. The word narcissism comes from a Greek giant Malay character named Narcissus. Narcissism is actually a very basic behavior of the human mind, but even with age, if the effect of narcissism persists, the servant becomes insane and irrational. A friend of ours was fed up with his uncle's narcissism. He did not bring anyone to mind in front of his every attire, trick, shield, wealth and rhythm, but he was so dead in his appearance that as soon as he put the mirror in front of him, he was called "Aafarin Aafarin". What we see now is that loving oneself in this way and not counting others is really selfish.

In addition, the question arises that in the present modern age, man's selfishness is related to his emotional and potential powers of understanding and wisdom? Or has man become a part of capitalism and has not stopped loving himself? In order to answer these questions, it is important to see that self-love and selfishness are one and the same or there is a difference between the two. Marx considers love for himself as important as love for a loved one. They want to make it clear that to love oneself is to love a human being. Thus he wants to make the love of himself and his beloved two sides of the same action. Destroying oneself by falling in love with someone is also a lesser act of love and an act of losing one's freedom and sovereignty. A great attribute of humanity is grace and love. Islamic teachings emphasize mutual love, compassion and love. In Islam, all creatures are considered the family of God and goodness, compassion and goodness are commanded with all creatures. That is why mutual love and compassion is a process of empowering both parties. Loving someone is like having the ability to love. It is with this kindness that we embody the human attributes that are present within us and then embark on the journey of complete embodiment together with the attributes of others. There are, they will be gone. In such a case, the one who will establish a relationship only for his own benefit and purpose, that relationship will be a mere business.

There will be no attribute of love in it. Therefore, to love one's self or to some extent selfishness cannot be called selfishness because a selfish person does not even dare to create anything. We see that the king, the dictator and the feudal mind have their way of obeying their every command, despising others and oppressing the rulers. Such people do not have the ability to love. It is the tendency that drives them to pursue their own interests, interests and admiration. This kind of thinking is also called fascism and dictatorship. In our case, this thinking is now found in many classes. Religious fanaticism is also an example of this. They also consider God as only a tyrant and oppressor and bow down before him out of fear instead of loving obedience. Therefore, all these people are the best examples of selfishness while Sufis, saints. And the Prophets obey Allah, believing that He is the Helper and the Needer, and they prostrate in order to get the benefit of His infinite mercy by inculcating the doctrine of Tawheed in their hearts. That is why they are called the Beloved of Allah.
